Throwback to the Desert Trip

Let’s kick off with a cherished memory from the ABR'z Desert Trip in 2020. We were on our way to the mesmerizing Sam Dunes, just before the world hit pause due to COVID. Picture this: it was around 6 PM, and we had been riding tirelessly since brunch in Barmer. We found ourselves at Munabao, India’s last railway station, and our stomachs were grumbling, ready for some sustenance.

Unexpected Adventure at the Dhaba

Our road captain made a spontaneous decision to halt for dinner at a roadside dhaba. But there was a tiny catch—the resources were quite limited. The dhaba owner had only raw eggs and wheat flour! We were in a bit of a pickle, as the owner was hesitant to cook for our group. That’s when I decided to roll up my sleeves and dive into the cooking adventure, never realizing my culinary skills would be put to the test in such a situation.

Camaraderie Built Over Cooking

As soon as I began to coordinate the cooking, everyone rallied around to help (and maybe out of sheer hunger). We teamed up to whip up a hearty meal. The laughter and chatter surrounding the cooking made it evident that our bond as Airborne Riders went beyond just riding; it was about shared experiences and mutual care. Finally, we all sat together, feasting under the wide desert sky, refueled and ready for the thrills that lay ahead.

This little episode shines a light on what it truly means to be part of the Airborne Riders. We embody adventure, passion, brotherhood, and the joy of eating together after a long ride. Let’s not forget the amazing trips I’ve enjoyed over the years: the ABR'z Himalayan trip in 2016, the unforgettable desert trips in 2020 and 2021. Here’s to many more adventures filled with riding, cooking, and laughter ahead!
